Planting & Care

When planting bare-root roses in the ground, mix three cups of fertilizer into the removed soil and use this blend to partially backfill the planting hole. For container plantings, blend two cups of fertilizer into each cubic foot of potting mix before planting. Once established, apply one and one-quarter cups around individual plants monthly during the growing season, scratching it gently into the soil surface. For potted roses, feed monthly with one teaspoon per three inches of pot diameter. Water thoroughly after each application to activate the nutrients.
