Planting & Care
Plant Autumn Blaze® Red Maple Trees in a location that receives at least six hours of direct sunlight each day. Choose an area with plenty of space for the tree’s mature canopy. Dig a hole twice as wide as the root ball and the same depth, place the tree upright, and backfill with soil while gently firming it to remove air pockets. Water thoroughly after planting and apply mulch around the base to retain moisture. Once established, the tree is fairly drought tolerant but benefits from occasional watering during extended dry periods. Prune during late winter or early spring while the tree is dormant to remove damaged branches and maintain a strong structure.
